The University of Lapland, the Giellagas Institute at Oulu University, and the Saamelaisalueen Koulutuskeskus organised a course on reconciliation for individuals aiming to work as internal reconciliators and mediators in Sámiland. I was fortunate and privileged to participate in the training led by Antti Pentikäinen and Anne Nuorgam in 2018. I had the chance to practice an arts-based reconciliation method with Hanna Guttorm during the course. This was an incredible opportunity to contribute to peacebuilding through artistic practices using natural materials. Hanna and I were collaborating to develop this process further, and we wrote an article and created guidelines utilising arts-based methods in reconciliation.
