I’ve been processing  with “wings” for some time. The first set of photographs around wings I took in summer 2014 in Hietasalo island. I had sewn a t-shirt with small wings for my daughter Ruusu to play around. She was exploring the island wearing the wings shirt and I was taking photographs. We were visiting Ruusu’s godmother Taina Kontio, good friend and visual artist during summer holidays. Hietasalo island is almost magical place in archipelago in front of Kuopio city.

These photographs formed an installation at “Näkyjä” (visions) urban art exhibition in Kuopio 30.12.2014-25.1.2015. The exhibition was organized by Valmed, media artists association in Kuopio region. Part of the installation was a storytelling workshop were children in the playground could tell stories related to the images and remember the summer greenery.
