Art for Peace Place-Specific Installations in Inari 2018

University of Lapland, Giellagas Institute at Oulu University and Saamelaisalueen koulutuskeskus organized a course in reconciliation for people to work as inside reconciliators and mediators in Sámiland. I was lucky and privileged enough to participate in the training run by Antti Pentikäinen and Anne Nuorgam. Last Friday I had an opportunity to practice arts-based reconciliation method with Hanna Guttorm at the course. This was truly amazing opportunity to contribute to the peace building with artistic practice using natural materials. We are working with Hanna on developing the process further. We’ll be producing an article, some guidelines and hopefully many more workshops.
