Organized by the Oppiva kirjasto network, Mikkeli libraries, and the Eastern Finland Regional Administrative Agency, “Open to think! – Service Design as an Aid to Development” was a training day where Professor Satu Miettinen, an industrial design expert from the University of Lapland, presented on the topic of service design. The focus of Miettinen’s presentation was service design from the perspective of inclusion and user involvement. Satu Miettinen, who holds a Doctorate in Arts, is actively engaged in service design research projects and provides consulting services for various public service development and training initiatives. She has also been involved in numerous art industry development projects both domestically and internationally.
